Shael Oswal – The man with many talents

W Shael Oswal is well known in the industrial and entertainment circuit. In 1978, Shael was born into the family of the Oswal Group and is the scion of their companies, Oswal Agro Mills and Oswal Greentech. Shael completed his schooling in Mayo College, Ajmer following whixh he completed his junior college years in Modern School. He has also pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Delhi and he spent the years 1992 to 2002 learning the ropes of the business while working on the Uria plant which focuses on the fertilizer, oil and gas sector.

The Oswal family needs no introduction and Shael Oswal spearheads the family business, currently spending most of his time in Singapore focusing on their mining business. Shael and his family have always been regarded as one of the most prestigious, honorable and notable business families in the country with their office in Singapore as well. Shael’s father has contributed tremendously to the Northern part of India. His sprawling and uber luxurious villa in Singapore was bought by him at the age of 33 years in 2012 and is one of the most popular and expensive houses in the country! The villa is located in Sentosa Cove with a market value of S$ 45 million. Shael also owns real estate in India and his equity stake in Jakarta through his listed company is nearly worth USD 20 million!

He has set up a manufacturing operations in Himacha Pradesh for the manufacture of CDR with state of the art technology under the name and style of Sohanaa International Pvt Ltd with a capital of S$ 10 million with 80 employees on the payroll. Further, the Oswal family has participated in setting up fertilizer plants in India with the capacity of 700,000 MTPA. During this process Shael gained the knowledge and understood the nuances of fertilizers and the oil and gas sector.

In spite of being born into the illustrious industrial family of the Oswals, Shael had a constant yearn to hone his true passion for music. He pursued his love for music and focused on his passion while working for his father from 1992-2002. The popular British-Indian singer, songwriter and composer who is popularly known for launching Alisha Chinai’s career was impressed with Shael’s freshness and voice and it was this that pushed Shael to release his first album, Kahan Hai Tu. The video album, sold innumerable copies in India which was directed by Kunal Kohli in Canada as well as across the world, and the choreography was by Saroj Khan. Itwas after this, in 2006 that his song Hiriye was distributed by the music label, Universal Music India. Hiriye went on to become one of the biggest hits of the year! The Punjabi song garnered great popularity among music lovers across India and the several unplugged versions as well as reprise versions of the song, proves just that! It was then that Shael Oswal was unstoppable and he cemented his position as a talented musician with many more tracks such as Umr Bhar, Nachle Soniye Tu, Pahla Nasha Pyar Ka, Shaam-O-Sahar Teri Yaad, Guftagoo, Zindegi, Dil Di Duaa, Sohneya and more. His romantic ballad, Behakii Behakii has touched 2.3 crore views on his YouTube channel while Arzii has clocked in 2 crore views and Meri Jaaan has 1.3 crore views. One look at Shael’s music career on his YouTube channel and music lovers will be stunned at how all his songs have crores of views and streams which certainly proves that he is the musical talent that we all have been waiting for!

Lucky Star Productions was launched along with Shael’s album, Kahan Hai Tu and was a music label and film production company and was spearheaded by his father. Their film (based on Pritam’s novel on the partition of India) Pinjar starring Manoj Bajpayee, Urmila Matondkar, Sanjay Suri, Isha Koppikar and others, was widely appreciated by the audience and won the prestigious National Film Award and the Filmfare Best Art Direction Award. That’s not all, the film went on to win 18 awards across all ceremonies in the country making it a super success for the Oswal family!  It was in 2003  that Shael set up CDR plants to manufacture CDs and this went on till 2009. With the influx of new technology available to the market, Shael went on to explore the coal mining business in Indonesia and started more companies in Singapore.

In the year 2013, Shael stepped into the entertainment industry once again as released his music on his YouTube channel, Shael Official! With over 40 songs in his kitty, there are 2 songs that stand out and are extremely special to him. They are, Makhmalli Pyaar and Tere Naal. These romantic tracks were shot with the gorgeous actress, Sameksha and it was during the shoot schedule of these numbers that Shael and Sameksha fell in love. Shortly after, the two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Singapore in the year 2020 and made headlines across tabloids! Makhmalli Pyaar has touched the 1.3 crore mark on his YouTube channel and Tere Naal stands proud at 2.2 crores. This comes as no surprise as Shael’s talent and Sameksha and Shael’s chemistry is palpable and leaves the audience wanting more.

Shael Oswal not only is an insightful businessman, a talented musician, a producer and a loving husband, he also is an avid animal lover! The man with many facets surely has a softer side to him and it comes as no surprise that he has adopted nearly 100 stray dogs and houses them at his Delhi farmhouse!

The dynamic duo, Shael and Sameksha Oswal are further pursuing their dream of making a splash in the world of Bollywood as producers and directors. The two visionaries have recently announced their production house, SSO Productions with a film and several music projects in the pipeline. An industrialist, a singer and now a producer, Shael Oswal has certainly proven his mettle time and again by donning several hats and acing them all with aplomb!
