SAMIKSHA OSWAL – THE ACTRESS, THE PRODUCER, THE FASHIONISTA!
W Samiksha Oswal, formerly known as Samiksha Singh has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades. The versatile actress began her career with the popular Telugu film, 143 where she played the lead role and was directed by Puri Jagannadh. Her acting prowess gained her praises galore and it was shortly after that she was cast in a Tamil film, Arinthum Ariyamalum in 2005 as the lead following which she performed lead roles in a number of Tamil, Punjabi and Hindi films.
Born in 1985 in Punjab, Samiksha has always had her eyes set on the glitz and glamour of the Indian entertainment industry. In the year 1998, Samiksha earned an Electronics & Communication engineering degree from the State Engineering Institute. She earned a degree in Bachelor of Arts in the year 2003 and a Master’s degree in English language from the Punjab University. She has also attended an intensive acting program with Lee Strasberg, New York and is a trained and qualified Yoga trainer. She left her home town and arrived in Mumbai to realise her dream of becoming an actress, a dream that was achieved significantly quick given her gorgeous looks, par excellence talent and yearn to work hard. Post her Tamil film, Samiksha earned further success with the Punjabi film, Fateh for which she was bestowed with the Balraj Sahni Honour Award for her contribution to Punjabi cinema due to her role in the Punjabi film Fateh. Her role in the Punjabi film Vaapsi too was critically acclaimed at various film festivals which further added a feather to her hat and showcases the achievements of the Indian Film Industry.
After her filmography career took off with flying colours, it was apparent that Samiksha had officially arrived and was leaving a mark wherever she went. The versatile actress went on to act in several soap operas which catapulted her into the top actresses that everybody wanted to collaborate with in film and soap opera projects. Some of her notable work in the TV industry includes, Porus, P.O.W. – Bandhe Yudh Ke, Khichdi Returns and Zaara-Pyaar Ki Saugat, and more. Samiksha is a seasoned actor with over 18 years of experience in acting in different language movies and has demonstrated excellent acting abilities in more than 23 movies spread over a period of 18 years and more than 10 television serials spread over 14 years. After working with top industry production houses such as Zee TV, Star Plus, Colors TV and Sony TV, Samiksha made headlines across the entertainment industry when she married the Singapore based industrialist, Shael Oswal in an intimate affair. Their love story began when the two were shooting for a music video called, Makhmalii Pyaar and the rest is history!
The powerhouse duo, Samiksha and Shael Oswal have recently announced their production house, SSO Productions which will focus on producing music and films, something both of them are extremely passionate about. Samiksha Oswal, is a visionary and with her experience of two decades in the industry, the actress is now all set to don the hats of becoming a producer, director and script writer! That’s not all, Samiksha has always been on the fashion radar for her sartorial fashion choices and style statements not to forget her love for travel and fitness.
